I had a idea of using the Media Player in the system namespace and get it to read sounds from a web site or server so the game designer can always update the theme music, if the game cannot connect to that site or server it will use local resources.

That's a neat idea, I'm not sure if there would be networking/firewall issues for a game that accesses the internet at will. Also, I'd be interested to see streaming sound from online in an XNA application. Not sure if this would work on the 360 even if it did work in Windows.

Definitely no Xbox since there's no internet access there. Also, I would be very surprised if the the Media Player namespace (I never heard of it, I'll have to check it out) can integrate with XACT. We don't even get raw audio buffer access, so there's no way to stream custom sounds without having to compile through XACT. Of course, we could use a third-party sound library, like FMOD. But then Xbox support would really be dead.
